1. The petitioner sought for certain information under the Right to Information Act, 2025.

2. The Revenue Officer and the SAPIO, office of the Block Land & Land Reforms Officer, Singur, Hooghly vide communication dated 27th November, 2020 provided the information as sought for by the petitioner. The mutation case numbers were disclosed. The petitioner was advised to apply for the order sheet of the mutation cases with the requisite fees.

3. Instead of making application for obtaining certified copy of the mutation cases, the petitioner proceeded to file a first appeal under the Right to Information Act.

4. The said appeal was disallowed by the appellate authority granting liberty to the petitioner to apply afresh seeking the case records.

5. Aggrieved by the same the petitioner has filed the instant writ petition.

6. Perused the report filed by the Block Land & Land Reforms Officer, Singur, Hooghly dated 9th April, 2025. It appears that the authority has only sought for an application from the petitioner along with the requisite fees for providing the certified copy of the documents sought for.

7. It will be open for the petitioner to make proper application for obtaining certified copy of the documents from the authority subject to payment of the prescribed fee.

8. The writ petition stands disposed of.

9. Urgent certified photocopy of this order, if applied for, be supplied to the parties expeditiously on compliance of usual legal formalities.
