Learned advocate for the petitioner submits that the petitioner is the complainant who is pursuing the case under Sections 138/141 of the N. I. Act since the year 2011. Learned advocate submits that the next date has been fixed on 23rd November, 2023 for examination of the accused under Section 313 of the Code of Criminal Procedure.

Having regard to the fact that the proceedings being C-6390 of 2011 under Sections 138/141 of the N.I Act is pending for the last 12 years, I direct that on and from 23rd November, 2023, the learned trial court will fix date for the purposes of the present complaint case on each and every week so that the trial of the case can be taken to its logical conclusion within a reasonable period of time.

Needless to state that the accused may be granted two months time within which eight dates should be fixed for defence evidence and thereafter the learned trial court would be at liberty to

deliver the judgment preferably by 15th March, 2024. With the aforesaid observations, the present revisional application being CRR 3586 of 2023 is disposed of. Pending applications, if any, are consequently disposed of. All concerned parties are to act in terms of a copy of this order duly downloaded from the official website of this court.
