Mr. Banerjee, learned Advocate appearing for the respondents/writ petitioners, prays for an extension of time to file the affidavit-in-opposition to the application for condonation of delay.

Mr. Majumder, learned Senior Advocate appearing for the appellant/applicant, submits that, on one hand, the writ petitioners/respondents are seeking an extension of time to file the affidavit-in-opposition, and on the other hand, they are proceeding in contempt.

In response to our query, Mr. Banerjee submits that the contempt petition has been posted for further consideration on 26th April, 2026.

As a last chance, the time for the writ petitioners/respondents to file the affidavit-in-opposition to the application for condonation of delay is extended by a period of two weeks. Reply thereto, if any, shall be filed one week thereafter.

List the matter for further consideration in the daily supplementary list of this Court on 7th April, 2026.
