Mandal ...for the State The petitioner is presently working as an Assistant 16-10-2023 AKG Ct. 238 Professor of Political Science at Dr. Bhupendra Nath Dutta Smriti Mahavidyalaya, Bardhaman.

It is the grievance of the petitioner that he made an application seeking his transfer to a different college in the prescribed form on February 2, 2022, before the Director of Public Instruction, West Bengal. Till date, the said application has not been considered.

I do not see any justification to keep this writ petition pending.

Accordingly, this writ petition is disposed of with a direction upon the Director of Public Instruction, West Bengal to consider the application of the petitioner for transfer within a period of two months from the date of communication of this order.

However, it is made clear that this Court has not gone into the merit of the application. The Director of Public Instruction, West Bengal shall consider the case of the petitioner in accordance with law.

WPA 22426 of 2023 is disposed of.
