1. This matter is appearing in list under the heading "To Be Mentioned".

2. Affidavit-of-service filed on behalf of the petitioner is taken on record.

3. By the present writ petition, the petitioner seeks direction upon the respondent authorities for grant of „A‟ category scale of pay including arrear on and from the date of his joining i.e. 6th March, 2010.

4. The petitioner contends that he was appointed as an Assistant Teacher of Talbona B.C. Roy Primary School under Boinchee Circle, District-Hooghly and joined in the said school on 6th March, 2010. Subsequently, the petitioner was promoted to the post of Head Teacher in

Jamna Primary School within the jurisdiction of District Primary School Council, Hooghly. He joined in the said school on 3rd January, 2024. The petitioner has completed Primary Teachers‟ Training Course for the session 2003-04, which was conducted by the West Bengal Board of Primary Education. The petitioner has also completed One Year Bridge Course (ODL Mode) as in-service candidate which was also conducted by the West Bengal Board of Primary Education. The petitioner has been granted „A‟ category scale of pay from 23rd April, 2014, i.e. the date of completion of One Year Bridge Course (ODL Mode). The petitioner claims that he is entitled to „A‟ category scale of pay from the date of his joining i.e. 6th March, 2010. On 25th August, the petitioner has made a representation before the respondent No.2, Commissioner of School Education, West Bengal for redressal of his grievance. However, the same is pending consideration. Hence, this writ petition.

Mr. Anidnya Bose, learned Advocate for the petitioner submits that the petitioner is entitled to „A‟ category scale of pay from the date of his joining as per as Notification No.323-SED-13037/69/2024-ELEMN SEC dated 4th September, 2024. He seeks that the matter be relegated to the appropriate authority for consideration of the representation of the petitioner dated 25th August, 2025.

6. Mr. Biswabrata Basu Mallick, learned Advocate representing the District Primary School Council, Hooghly as well as Mr. Diptendu Narayan Banerjee, learned Advocate for the State also submit that the matter be sent to the appropriate authority for due consideration.

7. In view of such submissions advanced on behalf of the respective parties, respondent No.2, the Commissioner, of School Education, Government of West Bengal is directed to consider the representation of the petitioner dated 25th August, 2025 and dispose of the same by passing a reasoned order, in accordance with law, upon notice to the petitioner within a period of eight weeks from the date of communication of this order.

8. The reasoned order shall be communicated to the petitioner within a week from the date of passing of such order.

9. Learned advocate for the petitioner is directed to communicate this order to respondent No.2, Commissioner, of School Education, Government of West Bengal, for necessary compliance.

10. With the above direction, the writ petition being WPA 22565 of 2025 stands disposed of.

11. Since no affidavits have been called for, the allegation made in the writ petition is deemed to be not admitted.

12. Interim order, if any, stands vacated.

13. All connected applications, if any, stand disposed of.

14. There shall be no order as to costs.

15. All concerned parties shall act in terms of the copy of the order duly downloaded from the official website of this Court.

16. Urgent Photostat certified copy of the order, if applied for, be given to the parties on compliance of all necessary legal formalities.
