The petitioner seeks transfer on special ground. 2.

The application of the petitioner was forwarded by the School to the District Inspector of Schools (S.E.), Howrah. Thereafter, there has been no response from the end of the District Inspector of Schools (S.E.).

None appears on behalf of the State respondents. 4.

As per the procedure for general transfer on special ground, a teacher is required to submit application with sufficient documents for consideration of the Managing Committee in connection with the transfer on medical ground. The Managing Committee, after examination of the prayer of the petitioner is required to forward

the prayer to the District Inspector of Schools, who is supposed to forward the application after verification of the vacancy as per option submitted by the employee where he/she desires to be transferred to the School Service Commission.

The District Inspector of Schools appears to have received the documents in connection with the application for transfer made by the petitioner in July 2025. There is no response from the end of the District Inspector of Schools.

The instant writ petition, accordingly, stands disposed of by directing the District Inspector of Schools to take prompt necessary consequential steps upon consideration of the documents forwarded by the School Authority in accordance with law at the earliest but positively within a period of four weeks from the date of communication of this order.

The fate of the application for transfer shall be made known to the petitioner.

The writ petition stands disposed of.

Urgent photostat certified copy of this order be supplied to the parties, if applied for, as early as possible.
