The writ petition filed by an intending students who graduated from Visva Bharati and intend to pursue his Post-Graduation. The petitioner applied for that. His application was rejected. The admission of the petitioner was restrained in the second list published on September 27, 2022 by not featuring his name therein.

Mr.

Soumya Majumder, learned counsel appearing for the respondent University on instruction submitted that, there were serious allegations against the petitioner for using defamatory statement against the highest authority of the University in social media. However, Mr. Soumya Majumder, learned counsel on instruction submitted that, in the event, the petitioner withdraws such social media posts forthwith and tenders his apology formally in writing addressing a letter to the highest

authority of the University, the University shall consider the admission of the petitioner.

In view of the above, the petitioner will be at liberty to do the needful subject to the satisfaction of the said highest authority of the University and consequential steps shall be taken by the University authority forthwith within a period of two weeks after receiving such apology letter.

On the basis of the above observation, this writ petition being W.P.A. 22784 of 2022 stand disposed of.

There shall, however, be no order as to costs. Urgent certified photo copy of this order, if applied for, be supplied to the parties expeditiously on compliance of usual legal formalities.
