Re: CAN 3 of 2022 This is an application for amendment of name of respondent no.1 and PIN code of her residential address.

Mr. Krishanu Banik, learned advocate for respondents-claimants submits that the spelling of the name of respondent no.1 should be " Lakshmi" instead of "Laxmi" and the PIN code of residential address of the said respondent would be "713423" instead of " 713421" as is appearing in the memorandum of appeal in the light of documents namely Adhaar Card , Voters Card and PAN card of the said respondent annexed to the application and he prays for necessary order.

Mr. Sanjay Paul, Learned advocate for appellant-insurance company leaves the matter to the discretion of the court.

This appeal was finally disposed of on 18.11.2022. Subsequent thereto this application has been filed for correction. Be that as it may, since the application is formal in nature for correction of spelling of the name of respondent no.1 and her residential PIN code, the same is taken up for consideration in order to avoid in future discrepancies.

It appears that the name of respondent no.1 as per her Adhaar Card, Voters Card and PAN card is "Lakshmi" and the PIN code of her residential address is "713423", however in the memorandum of appeal her name has been mentioned as "Laxmi" and the PIN code is stated as "713421". In the impugned judgment also the spelling of the name of respondent no.1 is "Lakshmi".

In view of the above, department is directed to carry out amendment incorporating the spelling of name of respondent no.1 as "Lakshmi" instead and in place of "Laxmi" and the PIN code of her residential address as "713423" instead of "713421" The application being CAN 3 of 2022 stands allowed and disposed of.
