Ms. Nilanjana Adhya ...for the petitioner Mr. Wasim Ahmed, Mr. Md. Shehabuddin ...for the State Affidavit of service filed today is taken on record.

Despite notice, none appears for the private respondents.

The petitioner alleges that the respondent police authorities have not taken any steps, excepting registration of a First Information Report pursuant to the order passed under Section 156(3) of the Criminal Procedure Code by the Chief Judicial Magistrate, Paschim Bardhaman.

Mr. Ahmed, learned Advocate appearing for the State submits that the investigation is at its fag end and he has been instructed to submit that charge sheet will be filed within a period of two weeks after reopening of the court after Puja Vacation.

The Investigating Officer is directed to conclude the investigation expeditiously and to take all consequential steps thereupon.

With the above observations and directions, this writ petition stands disposed of.

It will be open to the petitioner to approach the concerned jurisdictional court, if the petitioner is aggrieved.

There shall, however, be no order as to costs. Urgent photostat certified copy of this order, if applied for, be made available to the parties upon compliance of necessary formalities.
