Since the innocuous prayer of the petitioner is for expeditious disposal of CGR No.2477 of 2022 pending before the learned Judicial Magistrate, 4th Court, Alipore, South 24 Parganas the matter may be considered without service of notice upon the opposite parties.

The opposite parties shall not be prejudiced by an order directing expeditious disposal of the case. Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the cognizance of charge sheet was taken on 30th March, 2023 and since then the case has not proceeded further. The next date for consideration of charge has been fixed on 11th November, 2024.

In view of the above, the learned Trial Court is directed to take steps for consideration of charge on the next date fixed before him and if the same is not possible on reasonable grounds, charge may be considered within one month thereafter. The learned Trial Court shall make all endeavours to conclude the trial as expeditiously as

possible without granting any unnecessary adjournment to either of the parties, in accordance with law. The revisional application being CRR 3958 of 2024 is disposed of.

Urgent certified website copy of the order, if applied for, be given to the parties on compliance of requisite formalities.
