Mr. Nirupam Dhali ....for the State The petition is taken up for consideration subsequent to the order dated October 16, 2023 passed by the co-ordinate Bench.

By such order, the petitioner was granted interim anticipatory bail.

It is submitted at the bar that, such order was passed without considering the materials in the Case Diary and in view of the ensuing Puja Vacation.

We perused the materials in the Case Diary. In the Case Diary we found injury suffered by the victim. The victim suffered three deep cut injuries. One deep cut injury was in the region of the neck.

Petitioner stands implicated in the assault on the victim. Considering the gravity of the offence and the nature of injury suffered by the victim and the role played by the petitioner in the incident, we are unable to extend the interim anticipatory bail granted to the petitioner.

This application for anticipatory bail is, thus, rejected. CRM(A) 4235 of 2023 is disposed of.
