In view of the order dated 09.04.2024 the writ petitioners in the following writ petitions filed up to 31st March, 2024 shall be eligible for appointment under the Howrah DPSC.

On the said date as well as today, consent has been recorded by the concerned DPSC and the petitioners. Today it is stated that the State cannot give a formal consent.

The aforesaid order therefore treated as an order of Court. The model code of conduct shall not stand in the way of issuing appointments.

WPA 1826 of 2023, WPA 23391 of 2023, WPA 23392 of 2024, WPA 2556 of 2024, WPA 23447 of 2023, WPA 21823 of 2023, WPA 2727 of 2024 and WPA 3421 of 2024 shall be treated as having been on the day's list on 09.04.2024.
