The matter has come up by way of assignment by the Hon'ble Chief Justice exercising power in the administrative side.

This Bench earlier directed the Principal Chief Personnel Officer to remain personally present before this Court in order to ascertain the act of discrimination shown to the applicants vis-a-vis 17 persons, who have been favoured with the appointment dispensing with the criteria for minimum educational qualification.

Though it is contended at the Bar that the said

Principal Chief Personnel Officer was present on the last occasion, i.e. 23rd June, 2022, but we do not find any reflection in the record.

Furthermore the present matter has been assigned by the Hon'ble Chief Justice on 3rd April, 2023. We, therefore, feel that another opportunity must be given to the Principal Chief Personnel Officer to appear before us in terms of the order dated 17th June, 2022 on 21st July, 2023, when the matter would be listed in the supplementary list to be taken up at 3-00 p.m.

Put up the matter as directed above.
