It is submitted there is slow progress in the trial of the case.

Learned lawyer for the State opposes the prayer for bail and submits trial has substantially progressed.

21 witnesses have already been examined.

We have considered the materials on record. There are ample evidence connecting the petitioner with the crime. Trial has substantially progressed.

Under such circumstances, we are not inclined to grant bail to the petitioner.

Accordingly, the prayer for bail is rejected. We request the trial court to expedite the trial and conclude the same at an early date without granting unnecessary adjournments to either of the parties.
