1. We have heard Ms. Sangita Chakraborty, petitioner appearing in person.

2. After elaborately hearing the petitioner, we find that the petitioner has mixed up two issues, first of which is the grievances which relate to her personally on the ground that several FIRs have been lodged against her for the reason that she has been fighting the cause of innocent people who are entitled for compensation for violation of human rights. The second issue which the petitioner seeks in the writ petition is with regard to the manner in which the compensation has to be disbursed to the aggrieved persons. From the annexures to the writ petition we find that several of the complaints lodged by the petitioner before the State Human Rights Commission as well as the National Human Rights Commission have either been disposed of or closed and wherever the complaints have been disposed of, the concerned authority was directed to take appropriate action. If

the petitioner is not satisfied with those directions, the remedy is elsewhere and not by way of public interest litigation. In the course of the submission the petitioner would admit that several of the complaints are also pending before the National Human Rights Commission. If that is so, the petitioner should pursue the matter before the National Human Rights Commission and for such reason, we are not inclined to entertain the prayer sought for by the writ petitioner as a public interest litigation. Therefore, the prayer sought for in the writ petition is rejected.

3. However, this will not prevent the petitioner from agitating her grievances either personally or on behalf of the alleged persons whose human rights have been violated before the appropriate forum in accordance with law.

4. With the above observation, the writ petition stands dismissed.
