1. Affidavit of service filed in Court today is taken on record.

2. Leave granted to the advocate on record of the petitioner to implead the Principal Secretary, Department of School Education as party respondent in the instant writ petition. The formality of serving a copy of the writ petition upon the added respondent stands dispensed with as the State is represented by the senior standing counsel.

3. The petitioner no. 1 is a registered association and the members of the association are the teachers and employees of different aided/sponsored schools/ institution in the State of West Bengal.

4. They pray for extension of the facility of the West Bengal Health Scheme to them.

5. A representation from the end of the petitioners is pending consideration before the respondent authorities including the Commissioner of School Education.

6. Without entering into the merits of the claim of the petitioners at this stage, the instant writ petition is disposed of by directing respondent no. 5 being the Principal Secretary, Department of School Education to take a decision on the representation made by the petitioners and communicate the same to the petitioners.

7. Steps shall be taken in the matter at the earliest but positively within a period of four months from the date of communication of this order.

8. Learned advocate for the petitioner is directed to forward a copy of the representation dated 12th August, 2025 to the aforesaid respondent at the time of communication of this order.

9. The writ petition stands disposed of.

10. Urgent photostat certified copy of this order, if applied for, be supplied to the parties upon compliance of all requisite formalities. (Amrita Sinha, J.)
