The learned Advocate appearing for the petitioner submits that police authorities have not taken any effective steps pursuant to the complaint lodged by the petitioner, excepting registration of a First Information Report.

The learned Advocate appearing for the respondent no. 7 submits that the respondent no. 7 has been falsely implicated in the case and the investigation is also in progress.

The learned Advocate appearing for the petitioners submits that in the First Information

Report, appropriate sections have not been incorporated.

Suman Sengupta, learned Advocate appearing for the State submits that subsequently, the Investigating Officer after taking into consideration the report of the C.T. Scan, has added Section 118(2) of B.N.S, 2023 along with the Sections which are evident from the F.I.R. No. 102 dated July 29, 2024.

The record reveals that on a counter-complaint made by the respondent no. 4, another First Information Report, being Garfa P.S. F.I.R. No. 103 dated July 29, 2024 has also been registered. Mr. Sengupta submits that the investigation is in progress.

Since the First Information Reports have been registered and the investigation in connection with the same are in progress, this writ petition is disposed of by directing the concerned Investigating Officer of the case to conclude the investigation expeditiously and to take all consequential steps thereupon.

If the petitioner is aggrieved with the further progress of investigation, it will be open to the petitioner to approach the concerned jurisdictional court in accordance with law.

With the above observations and directions, this writ petition stands disposed of.

There shall, however, be no order as to costs. Urgent photostat certified copy of this order, if applied for, be made available to the parties upon compliance of necessary formalities.
