1. The petitioner complains that electricity connection to his submersible pump was not granted by the West Bengal State Electricity Distribution Company Limited.

2. Learned advocate for the petitioner submits that new connection had been applied for in accordance with law. Quotation money had been deposited, but the pump has not yet been energized.

3. The learned advocate for the respondents submits that the supply could not be granted as the fields were flooded.

The writ petition is disposed of, directing the Station Manager, WBSEDCL, Sagardighi Customer Care Centre, to grant connection to the petitioner within December 31, 2024, subject to the compliance of all other remaining formalities.

5. All parties are directed to act on the basis of the server copy of the order.
