The petitioner seeks transfer of his licence as MMR from Tollygunge police station area to Metiabruz police station area.

A report of the District Registrar, South 24 Parganas dated August 5, 2024 forwarded to the learned Government Pleader mentions that the petitioner's application is pending consideration. 3.

In view of the above, the instant writ petition is disposed of by directing the District Registrar to consider the petitioner's prayer for transfer of his licence dated August 12, 2024 (Annexure P2, p.10) in accordance with law at the earliest but positively within eight weeks from the date of communication of this order. A reasoned order shall be passed and communicated to the petitioner immediately thereafter.
