The petitioners are aggrieved by the property tax assessment, which was made by the Central Valuation Board. It appears from a notice dated March 31, 2017 issued by the Finance Officer, Bidhannagar Municipal Corporation that the petitioners were directed to appear before the Review Committee Meeting to be held on April 5, at Bidhannagar Municipal Corporation regarding the property tax along with latest tax payment receipt to defend the matter.

The petitioners claim that their representatives were present in the meeting held on April 5, 2017. The petitioners complain that the fate of the hearing held on

April 5, 2017 has not been communicated to the petitioners till date.

As the petitioners have already raised their grievances before the Review Committee Meeting and hearing was conducted on April 5, 2017 the respondent authorities ought to intimate the petitioners the fate of the said hearing.

The instant writ petition is accordingly disposed of by directing the respondent authorities to communicate the petitioners the fate of the hearing of the Review Committee Meeting which was held on April 5, 2017 within a period of two weeks from the date of communication of a copy of this order.

The writ petition and the connected applications are disposed of.

It is made clear that the aforesaid order is being passed without prejudice to the rights and contentions of the petitioners to raise all points of law in future, in the event occasion so arises.

Urgent photostat certified copy of this order, if applied for, be given to the parties after completion of all legal formalities.
