1. This writ petition has been filed as a public interest litigation challenging the election to the Bengal State Table Tennis Association. Admittedly, the petitioner is also a member of the association and he has got a private interest in the matter and we are informed by the respondents that the petitioner was the Secretary of the association earlier.

2. In any event, an election notice cannot be challenged by the petitioner by way of a public interest litigation. However, it will be well-open to the petitioner to approach the appropriate forum for appropriate relief, if he has got any grievance with regard to the election process.

3. With the above observation, writ petition stands dismissed.

4. No costs.

5. Urgent photostat certified copy of this order, if applied for, be furnished to the parties expeditiously upon compliance of all legal formalities.
