1. Let affidavit-of-service, as filed in Court, be kept on record.

2. Mr. Majumder, learned Advocate appearing for the petitioner, submits that the petitioner's grievance is that the election of the Co-operative Society, respondent no. 7 herein, has not been held since 2016.

3. Mr. Nayak, learned Advocate appearing for the Election Commission, does not deny this fact.

4. Mr. Sureka, learned Advocate appearing for the respondents no. 3 and 4, makes his submission.

5. The respondents, particularly the respondent no. 5, are directed to conduct the election process

and complete the same by February 28, 2026, subject to the respondent no. 7 putting the requisite funds for conducting the election.

6. Police authorities of the concerned District and area are directed to ensure the adequate protection to the officers of the respondent no. 5, who may be deployed for conducting such election.

7. With the aforestated directions, the writ petition is disposed of.

8. There shall, however, be no order as to costs.

9. Since no affidavit has been called for, the allegations contained in the writ petition are deemed to be denied.

10.Urgent photostat certified copy of this order, if applied for, be supplied to the parties on usual undertaking.
