The petitioner is a Group - D Staff at Mandalgram High School (H.S.), District - Purba Burdwan.

A representation of the petitioner praying general transfer is pending consideration before the concerned authority since 2016. The petitioner is praying disposal of his said representation, which forms part of the instant writ petition, being Annexure - P4.

The petitioner is praying general transfer on the ground that the school is 93 kilometers away from his residence. The petitioner is in receipt of House Rent Allowance (HRA), therefore the ground of distance is not convincing enough to consider the prayer of the petitioner.

W.P.A. 22604 of 2023 is therefore dismissed without any order as to costs.
