Petitioner complains that the private respondents have mercilessly assaulted and injured the petitioner and the same is in spite of earlier informing the police station.

State has submitted a report which reflects that Purbasthali P.S. Case No.253 of 2025 dated 12.09.2025 has been registered for investigation under the relevant provisions of BNS. Police report also reflects that Title Suit No.257 of 2025 is pending between (Jayanti Das vs. Sudip Pal & Ors).

Petitioner presently apprehends regarding further inconveniences and consequential action at the behest of the private respondents.

Learned advocate for the private respondents denies and disputes the accusations.

Petitioner emphasises that the respondent no.7 is a civic volunteer who is influencing whole of set up of the investigation and trying to underscore the sections under which the case has been registered. To that effect, if the petitioner informs the jurisdictional court, jurisdictional court would in the circumstances assess and direct a superior officer to monitor the investigation of the case.

Report of the police authorities reflects that on 20th September, 2025 proceedings have been drawn up under Sections 126/135 of the BNSS.

Having considered the steps so taken subsequently, I am of the opinion that the police authorities have complete knowledge regarding the dispute existing between the petitioner and the private respondents as well as the gravity of the same. Consequently, police authorities would ensure that no untoward incident results because of the existing inimical relationship between the petitioner and the private respondents.

With the aforesaid observations, WPA 22847 of 2025 is disposed of.

There will be no order as to costs.

Report so submitted be kept with the record.

Copy of the report be handed over to the learned advocates appearing for the parties.

All parties shall act on the server copy of this order duly downloaded from the official website of this Court.

Urgent photostat certified copy of this order, if applied for, be given to the parties upon compliance of all requisite formalities.
