Grievance in this writ petition is against inaction on the part of the respondent concerned in taking action against the persons allegedly encroaching and making illegal construction over the plot of land in question which, according to the petitioner, is of the Government.

Considering the submission of the parties this writ petition is disposed of by granting liberty to the petitioner to make representation before the SubDivisional Officer, Kharagpur/respondent no. 5 within four weeks. The respondent no. 5 shall consider and dispose of the aforesaid representation within twelve weeks from the date of making the representation in accordance with law and by passing a reasoned and speaking order and after giving opportunity of hearing to the interested parties and to communicate his decision to the petitioner within two weeks thereafter.

Let it be recorded that this Court has not gone into the merits of the case.

WPA 20952 of 2019 is accordingly disposed of. (MD. NIZAMUDDIN, J.)
