Mr. Sayak Chakrabarti, Mr. Wrickbrata Roy, Mr. Chiranjit Pal ...for the petitioners Mr. Asish Kumar Guha, Mr. Benazir Ahmed ...for the State Pursuant to the earlier order dated September 30, 2024, the Sub Divisional Officer, Egra, Purba Medinipur, under Memo No. 1473/JM dated September 30, 2024 gave written instructions to the learned Government Pleader. A copy of the said memo has been produced before this Court. The Memo No. 198/GEN dated September 30, 2024 issued by the Sub-Divisional Magistrate, Egra, Purba Medinipur, the Memo No. 199/Gen dated September 30, 2024 issued by the Sub Divisional Officer, Egra, Purba Medinipur and the Memo No. WBFES/EgFs/DP/56/24 dated September 27, 2024 issued by the Director General, West Bengal Fire & Emergency Service, have been annexed to the written instructions given to the learned

advocate for the State, which has been placed before this Court.

It appears from the documents annexed to the written instruction that the Sub Divisional Officer granted permission to the petitioner for the purpose of celebrating the community Puja. The said permission is subject to certain conditions as stipulated in the Memo No. 198/GEN dated September 30, 2024 issued by the Sub Divisional Magistrate and the Memo No. 199/Gen dated September 30, 2024 issued by the Sub Divisional Officer.

In view thereof, nothing survives to be decided in this application as the grievance of the petitioners has been redressed.. It is, however, observed that the petitioners shall perform the Durga Puja strictly in terms of the conditions stipulated in the permission granted by the appropriate authorities. A copy of such instruction is supplied to the learned Advocate appearing for the petitioner in course of hearing of this writ petition.

With the above observations, this writ petition stands disposed of.

There shall, however, be no order as to costs. (Hiranmay Bhattacharyya, J.)
