Anupam Bagchi v. R. Subrahmanyam
09.01.2023 d.p.
In The High Court At Calcutta Civil Special Jurisdiction Appellate Side C.P.A.N. 1263 of 2019 in W.P.A. 10510 of 2019 Anupam Bagchi -versus R. Subrahmanyam & Ors.
Mr. Bharat Bhushan, Ms. Aprajita Ghosh.
...For the Petitioner.
Mr. Soumya Majumder, Ms. Rajashree Venket Kundalia.
...For the Contemnors.
I have perused the affidavit-of-compliance filed by the Registrar, National Institute of Technology, Durgapur and the exception thereto filed by the petitioner.
It appears therefrom that there has indeed been part compliance of the direction passed by the Court. The petitioner submits that he is entitled to further relief.
I am afraid that the Court in the contempt jurisdiction will not be the proper forum to adjudicate the grievances of the petitioner.
Accordingly, it will be open for the petitioner to approach the proper forum for redressal of his grievances, if so advised.
The contempt application stands disposed of.
Urgent certified photocopy of this order, if applied for, be supplied to the parties expeditiously on compliance of usual legal formalities.
