Case no. 715 of 2019 pending before the learned Additional Chief Judicial Magistrate, Katwa, Purba Burdwan, the matter may be taken up for consideration without service of notice upon the opposite parties. The opposite parties shall not be prejudiced by an order directing expeditious disposal of the case.

This Court is informed that the case is pending since 2019 and out of 13 charge-sheeted witnesses only one witness has been examined.

In view of the above, learned trial Court is directed to take the proceeding to its logical conclusion within 18 months from the next date of hearing without granting any unnecessary adjournment to either of the parties, in accordance with law. C.R.R. 3990 of 2024 is disposed of.
