The grievance of the petitioners is that the property of the petitioners has been utilized but no compensation has been paid to them. The predecessors-in-interest of the petitioners submitted a representation dated June 24, 2024 and alleging inaction on the part of the respondent authorities, the predecessors-in-interest of the petitioners approached this Court by filing a writ petition being WPA 19477 of 2024, which was disposed of by an order dated 4th December, 2024 by directing the third respondent therein to dispose of the representation dated June 24, 2024 by passing a reasoned order in accordance with law after giving an opportunity of hearing to the petitioner and other interested persons, if any. The grievance of the petitioner is that, till date no decision has been communicated to the petitioners in terms of the order dated 4th December, 2024.
The petitioners submitted another representation dated 21st July, 2025 requesting the authorities to comply with the order dated 4th December, 2024 passed in WPA 19477 of
2024.
The learned Advocate appearing for the petitioners submits that in spite of receipt of such letter, no steps have been taken by the respondent authorities to comply with the order dated 4th December, 2024 passed in WPA 19477 of 2024.
Mr. De, the learned Additional Government Pleader submits that directions contained in the order dated 4th December, 2024 passed in WPA 19477 of 2024 shall be complied with and the reasoned order shall be communicated to the petitioners herein within a period of three weeks from the date of receipt of the server copy of this order. In the light of the submission made by Mr. De, this writ petition stands disposed of by directing the Special Land Acquisition Collector, North 24 Parganas, being the third respondent, to comply with the directions contained in the order dated 4th December, 2024 passed in WPA 19477 of 2024 as expeditiously as possible but positively on or before March 20, 2026.
With the above directions, this writ petition stands disposed.
