Mr. Lalratan Mondal ..for the petitioner Mr. Lalit Mohan Mahata, Ld. AGP, Mr. Prasanta Behari Mahata ...for the State Affidavit-of-service filed on behalf of the petitioner is taken on record.

This writ petition is filed seeking for direction upon the respondent no.4, the District Panchayat and Rural Development Officer, Birbhum to give remuneration of Rs.8,500/- per month to the petitioner in view of memorandum dated 20th May, 2013 (Annexure-P/6) to the writ petition.

The petitioner contends that he joined as Helpercum-Compounder in Sarpalehana Alabandha Gram Panchayat in the year 2010. On 27th April, 2017, the petitioner made an application before respondent no.5, Sabhapati/Executive Officer, Bolpur Sriniketan Panchayat Samity for enhancement of his remuneration However, no steps has been taken till date. Hence, this writ petition.

Mr. Lalratan Mondal, learned Advocate for the petitioner submits that necessary direction be issued to respondent no.5 for consideration of such prayer of the petitioner for enhancement of remuneration.

Despite service, none appears on behalf of the respondent no.10, Pradhan, Sarpalehana Alabandha Gram Panchayat.

Learned Advocate for the State submits that the matter may be relegated to respondent no.5, the Sabhapati/Executive Officer, Bolpur Sriniketan Panchayat Samity.

Accordingly, respondent no.5, Sabhapati/ Executive Officer, Bolpur Sriniketan Panchayat Samity is directed to consider the representation of the petitioner dated 27th April, pertaining to remuneration of the petitioner within a period of four weeks from date of communication of this order. Petitioner is directed to communicate this order to respondent no.5, Sabhapati/Executive Officer, Bolpur Sriniketan Panchayat Samity.

With the above direction, the writ petition being WPA No. 23507 of 2024 stands disposed of.

All connected applications, if any, stand disposed of.

There will be, however, no order as to costs. Interim order, if any, stands vacated.

All concerned parties shall act in terms of the copy of the order duly downloaded from the official website of this Court.

Urgent photostat certified copy of this order, if applied for, be supplied to the parties subject to compliance with all requisite formalities.
