By this writ petition, petitioner has made prayer for direction upon the respondent Customs authority concerned to pay the damages in question to the petitioner.

Considering the submission of the parties this writ petition being WPA 22675 of 2023 is disposed of by granting liberty to the petitioner to make appropriate representation before the authority concerned within two weeks from date and the respondent authority concerned shall consider and dispose of such representation in accordance with law and by passing a reasoned and speaking order within four weeks from the date of communication of

this order and to communicate their decision on the aforesaid representation within two weeks thereafter. With this observation and direction this writ petition stands disposed of.

It is clarified that this Court has not gone into the merit of the writ petition and authority concerned while considering such representation shall act strictly in accordance with law.
