The petitioner seeks new electricity connection. It appears that the petitioner has already deposited the amount mentioned in the quotation raised by WBSEDCL.

Learned advocate representing the WBSEDCL submits that an inspection was conducted on 19th September, 2024 and it was found that the applicant did not comply all the formalities. 3.

The applicant is required to install the submersible pump, complete the earthing identification, finalization of the location of the meter and the meter box and also complete the wiring. 4.

The petitioner is directed to intimate the WBSEDCL about the completion of the formalities mentioned hereinabove.

Upon receipt of the information of completion of the aforesaid works, steps shall be taken by the Distribution Company Limited to supply new electric connection to the petitioner at the earliest but positively within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of information of completion of the work. 6.

The writ petition stands disposed of.

The instruction filed by the WBSEDCL be retained with the records.

Affidavit-of-service filed today in Court be kept with the records.

8. Urgent certified photocopy of this order, if applied for, be supplied to the parties expeditiously on compliance of usual legal formalities.
