The examination of the accused under section 313 of the cr.p.c. are continuing before the ld. Trial court and the next date is fixed on 19th of April, 2024.

The ld. Trial court would ensure that the examination of the accused persons under section 313 of the cr.p.c. is completed by 30th of April, 2024 and, thereafter date for examination of defence witness be fixed on and from the month of May, 2024.

If in course of examination of the defence witness, ld. Trial court is of the opinion that the defence is

unnecessarily delaying the trial, then, in that case, the ld. Trial court would exercise its discretion whether to continue with the dates relating to defence evidence or fix date for arguments of the case or not.

All efforts be taken to pronounce the verdict as expeditiously as possible preferably by 15th of September, 2024.

With the aforesaid observations, CRR 3650 of 2023 is disposed of.

Pending application, if any, is also disposed of. Parties to act on a server copy of this order duly collected from the official website of the Hon'ble High Court, Calcutta.
