Learned advocate appearing for the petitioner is directed to serve a copy of this revisional application upon Ms. Sujata Das, learned advocate, who ordinarily appears for the State. Her appointment may be regularised by the concerned authorities.

Learned advocate for the petitioner is aggrieved by the manner in which there has been progress in connection with Dhaniakhali Police Station Case No. 143 of 2021. As charge-sheet has already been submitted before the jurisdictional court being the learned Chief Judicial Magistrate, Hooghly, it is directed that service of copies may be effected on the next date so fixed and the case be committed to the court of sessions. Learned court of sessions would take steps so that charges may be framed within three months from the date of commitment of the case. Thereafter the concerned court would fix schedule consisting of three dates and fix such schedule once in every 75 days so that trial of the case can be taken to its logical conclusion within a reasonable period of time.

With the aforesaid observations, the revisional application being CRR 3651 of 2023 is disposed of.

Pending connected application, if any, is consequently disposed of.

All concerned parties shall act on the server copy of this order duly downloaded from the official website of this Court.

Urgent photostat certified copy of this order, if applied for, be supplied to the parties upon compliance with all requisite formalities.
