Affidavit of service has been filed, let it be taken on record. 2.

Learned counsel for the petitioners submits that the private respondent/de facto complainant is reluctant to receive the service. Learned counsel only prays for appropriate direction for expeditious disposal of the matter.

The Court considers that such a direction will not prejudice to either of the parties.

Hence, the learned trial court is directed to conduct the expeditious proceedings of complaint case No.227 of 2023 under Sections 323/498A/406/506/34 of the IPC read with Sections 3/4 of the Dowry Prohibition Act, expeditiously in accordance with law without granting any unnecessary adjournment. 5.

However, this court observed that vide an order dated 16th January, 2026, Learned Judicial Magistrate, 4th Court, Bankura has sent a report regarding status of the case. In compliance to the same, learned District Judge, Bankura has forwarded the order passed by the learned Judicial Magistrate dated 16th January, 2026. Learned District Judge, Bankura in his communication dated 19th January, 2026 has stated that the

order dated 16th January, 2026 to be considered as the present status report of the case. The Court is anguished having seen the conduct of the learned Judicial Magistrate and the learned District Judge in complying with the orders of the Court, if the High Court calls for status report from the learned trial court, learned trial court is not expected to send merely an order passed on a particular date. The conduct of the learned District Judge is also deprecated as he seems to have mechanically forwarded the order sent by the learned Judicial Magistrate 4th Court, Bankura.

Learned Registrar General, High Court at Calcutta is requested to place the copy of this order before the Hon'ble The Chief Justice.

Copy of this order be also sent to the learned Judicial Magistrate, 4th Court Bankura and learned District Judge, Bankuar.

Accordingly, CRR 4364 of 2025 stand disposed of. 9.

Pending applications, if any, are consequently disposed of. 10.
