Learned advocate for the petitioner submits that the complaint case under Sections 138/141 of the N. I. Act is of the year 2013 and ten years have passed but till date the complainant could not know the verdict in respect of the dishonoured cheque. Having regard to the period of time which has elapsed and that the final arguments are in progress, I direct the learned Chief Metropolitan Magistrate, Calcutta that in connection with Complaint Case No. 48859 of 2013, the learned Chief Metropolitan Magistrate, Calcutta would take all efforts on 9th November, 2023(the next date so fixed) to continue with the arguments by fixing two dates in a week and conclude the arguments by 10th December, 2023. The learned Magistrate would take steps so that the verdict of the case is pronounced on or before 31st December, 2023.

With the aforesaid observations, the present revisional application being CRR 3664 of 2023 is disposed of.

Pending applications, if any, are consequently disposed of. All concerned parties are to act in terms of a copy of this order duly downloaded from the official website of this court. [Tirthankar Ghosh, J]
