Petitioner approached this Court being aggrieved by the inaction of the police authorities particularly with regard to the manner in which Jagaddal Police Station Cyber Crime Police Station Case No.34 dated 06.10.2024 was investigated. State has submitted a report. Report reflects regarding tracing of the beneficiary's account. Learned advocate for the petitioner submits that an amount of Rs.32,000/- has been traced. Police authorities are still investigating the offence. Having considered that the investigation commenced on 6th October, 2024 and till date the investigation is continuing as also considering the complexity in the investigation, I direct the Deputy Commissioner of Police-in-Charge of Cyber Crime

Police Station to monitor the investigation of the case. If the petitioner prays for return of the freezed amount lying in an account, learned Magistrate would satisfy himself regarding the contents of such application, call for a report and thereafter exercise his discretion in respect of the prayer advanced on behalf of the petitioner.

With the aforesaid observations, WPA 23497 of 2024 is disposed of.

There will be no order as to costs.

Report submitted by the State be kept with the record.

All parties shall act on the server copy of this order duly downloaded from the official website of this Court.

Urgent photostat certified copies of this order, if applied for, be given to the parties upon compliance of all requisite formalities.
