The petitioner alleges inaction on the part of the Ashokenagar Police Station, Barasat Police District in allowing a Cinema Hall called "Nataraj Cinema" to run without a valid licence.

The petitioner has filed a complaint against the private respondents before the Ashokenagar Police Station that was registered and was completed and a final report being FRT No.444/22 dated 30th April 2022 has been filed.

This Court notes that there was no inaction on the part of the police. However, Ashokenagar Police Station and the District Magistrate, North 24-Parganas shall ensure that the said "Nataraj Cinema"

Hall in Ashokenagar does not run without a valid licence. With the aforesaid directions, the writ petition is disposed of.

There shall be no order as to costs.

The report of the Officer-in-Charge, Ashokenagar Police Station, Barasat Police District dated 7th November 2022 is taken on record.

All parties shall act on the server copy of this order duly downloaded from the official website of this Court.
