Re : CRAN 1 of 2024 Petitioner has prayed for recalling of the order dated 14-032024 as the learned advocate who was engaged did not participate when the revisional application was called on two occasions. In view of the settled proposition, that the litigant should not suffer for the conduct of his advocate, I am of the view that CRAN 1 of 2024 should be allowed.

As such, the order dated 14-03-2024 is hereby recalled. The revisional application be restored to its original file and number. Re : CRR 3668 of 2023 So far as the revisional application is concerned, the learned ACJM, Srirampur in connection with G. R. No. 529 of 2022 allowed the prayer for renewal of the passport. The grievance of the petitioner is that he could not avail the maximum period of renewal which is granted by the authorities pursuant to the order dated 26-06-2023 passed in G. R. No. 529 of 2022.

Petitioner is granted liberty to take out an application before

the learned ACJM, Srirampur, Hooghly praying for the time limit permitted under the Act for renewal of the passport in respect of individuals against whom criminal proceedings are pending. Learned Magistrate will consider the same in accordance with the law and dispose of the application so filed within a period of sixty days from the date of filing of the application. With the aforesaid observations, the present revisional application being CRR 3668 of 2023.
