Petitioner is in custody for 22 months. He prays for bail. Learned lawyer for the State opposes the prayer for bail and submits that the bail application for the petitioner was rejected earlier.

Statements of witnesses including that of the victim implicate the petitioner in the offence of rape. His prayer for bail was rejected earlier. There is no change in circumstances since then. Hence, we are not inclined to grant him bail. Accordingly, the prayer for bail of the petitioner is rejected.
