At the time of presenting the revisional application, it was submitted on behalf of the petitioner that there has been a compromise and amicable settlement between the parties. Accordingly, by order dated 11.10.2023, report was called for. It was directed that the statement of the defacto complainant should be recorded. The report has been filed by Mr. Pravas Bhattacharya, learned advocate appearing for the State. The report encloses the statement which categorically states that the defacto complainant is interested to pursue with the present litigation.

The case was filed in the year 2014 and charge-sheet was submitted in the year 2016, as such nine years have passed since the FIR was registered and seven years have passed since the charge-sheet was submitted before the jurisdictional court.

Having regard to the prayer so advanced before this Court at this stage of considering the report as well as the

other materials so appearing as submitted by the State, I am not inclined to interfere at this stage.

With the aforesaid observations, the present revisional application being CRR 3674 of 2023 is disposed of. Pending applications, if any, are disposed of. Petitioner would be at liberty to take up the issues so canvassed in the revisional application at the appropriate stage.
