Public Prosecutor Mr. Manoranjan Mahata ... ... for the State Petitioner renews his prayer for bail. It is submitted on behalf of the petitioner that he is in custody for about a year. Learned Additional Public Prosecutor opposes the prayer for bail.

We have considered the materials on record. Statements of eyewitnesses implicate the petitioner in the murder. His prayer for bail was rejected earlier and there is no change in circumstance since then. Accordingly, we are not inclined to grant bail to the petitioner at this stage.

The application for bail is thus rejected.

Trial court is directed to commit the case to the court of sessions at the earliest and upon commitment, trial court shall proceed with the trial with utmost expedition.
