In view of the above, this Court is inclined to hold that allowing the proceeding to continue shall be a futile exercise. Criminal proceeding being CGR case no. 2154 of 2018 pending before the learned Judicial Magistrate, 6th Court, Alipore, South 24 Parganas, be quashed.

The petitioner is set at liberty at once and discharged from his bail bonds The revisional application is disposed of.
