Having heard the learned advocate for the petitioner and the learned Public Prosecutor-in-charge and considering the fact that the accused is facing trial under the charge of Section 20(b)(ii)(c) of the NDPS Act, we are not inclined to release him on bail because of the embargo contained in Section 37 of the said Act.

Therefore, prayer for bail of the petitioner is rejected. However, considering the fact that the petitioner is under detention for more than ten months, the learned Trial Judge is requested to take appropriate steps for expeditious disposal of the case.
