Inspite of service none appears for the private respondents.

The petitioner alleges that the private respondents herein are creating disturbance in the pisciculture activities which is being done by the petitioner in a water body. The petitioner claims to have lodged a complaint with the Officer-in-Charge, Indus Police Station by a letter dated 27th February, 2024.

The learned advocate appearing for the petitioner submits that in spite of the fact that such complaint has been lodged by the petitioner, the police authorities have not taken any steps with regard to such complaint.

Learned advocate appearing for the State files a copy of the report by the Officer-in-Charge, Indus Police Station dated 25th September, 2024, which is taken on record.

After going through the said report, this Court finds that pursuant to the complaint lodged by the petitioner an enquiry was conducted locally and it is found that there is longstanding dispute between the petitioner and the private respondents over the share of fish. Accordingly, in order to maintain peace and tranquility a prosecution under Section 107 of the Criminal Procedure Code has been submitted vide Indus Police Station NCR No. 299/24 dated 13th March, 2024.

Therefore, it appears that the police authorities have taken steps pursuant to the complaint lodged by the petitioner. The Officer-in-Charge, local police station is directed to ensure that no breach of peace takes place at the locale.

With the above observations and directions, the writ petition is disposed of.

There shall be no order as to costs.
