In view of the above, this Court is inclined to hold that allowing the proceeding to continue shall be a futile exercise. The criminal revision being CRR No. 4066 of 2024 is allowed.

As a consequence the connected application being CRAN No. 1 of 2024 is disposed of.

The proceeding being G.R.Case No. 634 of 2019 pending before the learned Sessions Judge, Paschim Medinipur be quashed.

The petitioners be set at liberty at once and discharged from their bail bonds.
