Learned counsel appearing on behalf of the petitioner ssi Ct. 17 submits that his client wants to have a new electricity connection for the portion of the property that he is occupying.

Learned counsel appearing on behalf of the CESC Limited relies on a memo dated 08.06.2024 issued to the petitioner earlier and submits as follows. Inspection revealed that the petitioner is occupying a small room in the first floor of the property in question and is deriving electricity from connection which is in the name of his grand father. The CESC Limited has suggested a splitting of the consumption of units, if the petitioner is agreeable. Therefore, the matter has to be before the Grievance Redressal Officer. The writ petition is disposed of by granting liberty to the petitioner to approach the concerned GRO with his grievances in this regard within a week from this date. In such event, the GRO shall expeditiously decide the

issue upon hearing the concerned parties and in accordance with law, preferably within four weeks from the date of receipt of such application.
