Learned counsel appearing for the petitioner contends that the petitioner applied for an electricity connection to operate the petitioner's submersible pump. Such connection has not yet been given, prompting the petitioner to prefer the present challenge.

Learned counsel appearing for the WBSEDCL (West Bengal State Electricity Distribution Company Limited) argues that due to the adjacent field being waterlogged, as several electricity poles are required to be installed to give such connection, the WBSEDCL could not take any steps in that regard. However, on instruction, learned counsel for the WBSEDCL fairly

submits that the WBSEDCL will be able to do the work by the first week of December, 2023.

Appreciating such gesture on the part of the WBSEDCL, W.P.A. No. 22913 of 2023 is disposed of by directing the WBSEDCL to undertake the necessary work for giving electricity connection to the petitioner and to give such connection petitioner, subject to the petitioner complying with all due formalities otherwise, positively within December 08, 2023.

There will be no order as to costs.

Urgent photostat certified copies of this order, if applied for, be made available to the parties upon compliance of all necessary formalities.
