After considering the report dated 6th February, 2021 filed by CESC Limited, the matter can be disposed of by directing CESC Limited to provide a separate overhead service main to the petitioner at the portion of the premises under the petitioner's occupation. The report also indicates that the petitioner has constructed a separate meter room for the purpose of the overhead service connection. Subject to the petitioner paying all necessary costs and expenses for the overhead service connection and complying with the other formalities, CESC Limited shall give connection to the petitioner within seven working days from the date of petitioner making

payment. CESC Limited shall raise the revised quotation on the petitioner by 22nd March, 2021. The money, if any already paid by the petitioner, shall be adjusted from the revised quotation.

Nothing further remains to be adjudicated in this writ petition. The same is disposed of accordingly without any order as to costs.

Since I have not called for any affidavits, allegations made in the writ petition are deemed to have not been admitted.

Urgent photostat certified copy of this order, if applied for, be given to the parties upon compliance with the necessary formalities.
