1. Affidavit of service, as filed, be kept with the record.

2. The petitioner has retired from service sometime in April 2025, upon completing several years of long and unblemished service. However, the petitioner has not been paid her pension and retirement benefits.

3. Mr. Majumdar, learned Advocate for the respondent authority submits that respondent no. 4 has been unable to consider the case of the petitioner, in view of the fact that the petitioner had obtained the pay scale of a Master's Degree holder without giving requisite information to respondent no. 4.

4. The documents appended to the writ-petition clearly disclose that the petitioner had obtained her Master's Degree sometime in the year 1987 which was duly communicated in the year 1989.

5. In view of the afore-stated, respondent no. 4 is directed to consider the case of the petitioner strictly in line with the decision of the Hon'ble Supreme Court of India rendered in (2015) 4 SCC 334 (State of Punjab and Others vs. Rafiq Masih (White Washer) & Ors.).

6. The entire exercise of considering the petitioner's case will be completed by respondent no. 4 by 30.04.2026.

7. The resultant order of such consideration will be communicated by respondent no. 4 to the petitioner by 15.05.2026.

8. With the afore-stated direction, WPA/23399/2025 is disposed of. No order as to costs.
